Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable is a professional-grade low-temperature self-regulating heating cable.
It is designed to provide freeze protection for non-metallic pipe, roof and gutter deicing for residential and commercial locations.
This kind of heating cable is configured for use in both non-hazardous and hazardous (classified) locations, including areas where corrosives may be present.
It is widely applied to factories, offices, families and pets’ room, etc. Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable shall have continuous exposure (maintain) capability up to 150°F (65°C) and intermittent exposure capability up to 185°F (85°C).
The cable is suitable for use on supply voltages of both 110-120 VAC and 208-277 VAC. There are five popular models in the markets: 3 Watts per ft. (10w/m), 5 Watts per ft. (17w/m), 6 Watts per ft. (20w/m), 8 Watts per ft. (25w/m) and 10 Watts per ft. (33w/m).
Every Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable has a self-regulating characteristic.
Its power output self-regulates in response to the pipe temperature. When the ambient temperature rises, the amount of heat and power decreases.
However, when the ambient temperature drops, the amount of heat and power increases.
This self-regulating characteristic improves safety and reliability.
The cable would not overheat or burnout, even when overlapped upon itself.
It can be cut-to-length at the site to match exact piping lengths without any complicated design considerations. Because of this feature, this cable does not require an additional thermostat.
Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable is a flat heating cable with two parallel conductors.
It includes Nickel-plated copper bus wires (16 AWG), Semiconductive heating matrix and thermoplastic elastomer dielectric insulation, tinned copper braid, and thermoplastic over the jacket.
Inner bus wire adopts the same materials as brands in Europe. The semiconductive heating matrix is developed by ourselves, which has served our brands’ customers for over 15 years.
And Jiahong is one of the manufacturers who can individually develop and make these materials.
Tinned copper braid is ductile, yet it withstands high mechanical loads, thus averting damage when installing in arduous environments.
Outer Jacket is made of the PVC or other UV protection thermoplastic elastomer, which provides additional protection to the cable and braid against certain inorganic chemical solutions.
Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable is energy efficiency. Its self-regulating core generates heat when and where it’s needed.
The core continuously adjusts its heat output to the environment at every point along the heating cable, thus reducing the overall energy costs for the season.
Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable is easy and simple to install. It only needs to be laid along the pipe.
Not any special skill and tools are required. Meanwhile, all necessary accessories such as termination, splicing, and power connection components are provided in our convenient kits as well.
All Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cables must pass the set standards by the international quality testing institutes.
The heating cables for North America markets passed UL, CULus, CSA, ETL and the heating cables for Europe markets passed CE, TUV, ATEX, IECEX, and EAC.
Meanwhile, all Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable comes with a 10-year warranty, which is the longest in the industry.
Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable is generally packed in wooden spools or plastic spools. Normally it is delivered at 250ft, 500ft and 1000ft a spool.
Customers could cut the required length according to practical requests.
You can also have your company information printed on cable and customize your package.
Our design department is glad to help you. To improve Jiahong Self Regulating Heat Trace Cable, our technology team continuously cooperates with experienced experts and brands such as Raychem.
We’re still the only supplier who owns the complete certificates and most product patents. We believe that more and more heating trace goes to self-regulating cable, it’s an overwhelming trend.
